Micro-Scope is the magazine for MAPE
members and ran for 50 issues from November 1980 until November 1997.
After this the magazine changed its name to MAPE. MAPE (Micros And Primary Education) membership was open to
both individuals
and organisations.
Micro-Scope contains much
information about educational software of the 1980s and 1990s
including reviews and ideas for its use in the classroom and later
issues focused on IT in the National Curriculum.
The magazine was jointly published by
Heinemann Computers and Ginn and Company and latterly by Castlefield. It was edited by Newman
College in Birmingham.
